Frequently Asked Questions
About the Practice
-
Rebel medical is for people who want more from their healthcare than a rushed appointment and a prescription.
It is for people who want to understand their health, be an active participant in their care, and have a clinician who actually knows them.
-
It means your healthcare starts with knowing you, not just your medical history.
I take the time to understand what is going on in your life, what matters to you, what you are experiencing, and where you want your health to go.
Appointments are intentionally longer, communication is more personal, and your care is built around an ongoing relationship rather than a series of disconnected visits.
-
It is primary care, but it is not quite the primary care you may be used to.
I combine evidence based primary care with lifestyle medicine and a deeper look at the factors that influence how you feel and function. This may include nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, metabolic health, prevention, and longevity, alongside the traditional diagnosis and treatment of illness.
I use tool from both the conventional and the functional realms, grounded in evidence and tailored to you.
-
Once our primary care practice is available, you will start with your initial appointment. We can determine which membership is best for you at that time.
If you are not sure if this is a good fit for you please don’t hesitate to schedule a discovery call!

Cost & Access
-
The practice is designed to work outside of the traditional insurance model, which allows me to spend more time with you and focus on the care you actually need rather than what an insurance company decides is covered.
Your membership is paid directly to the practice. Insurance may still be used separately for things like labs, imaging, prescriptions, specialists, or other services outside of the practice, depending on your individual plan.
There may be additional costs for certain labs, imaging, medications, or services provided outside of the practice. I will always be transparent about those costs whenever possible.
-
If our current membership model does not fit your budget please contact us to discuss payment options.
-
You don't have to figure it out alone.
If you need a specialist, imaging, additional testing, or a level of care that is outside my scope, I will help you determine what makes sense and coordinate with your existing healthcare team when appropriate.
For urgent but non emergency concerns, we can determine whether I can see you through the practice or whether urgent care is the better option. For a true emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
-
Your membership covers your care with me, but it does not cover the cost of labs, imaging, medications, or services provided by other healthcare professionals.
When I order labs or other testing, I will help you understand what is being ordered and why. Whenever possible, I can help you choose lower cost options and use cash pricing or your insurance based on what makes the most sense for you.
Medications are also not included in the membership. You can use your insurance or pay cash for prescriptions, and I can help you look at cost effective options when appropriate.
